Weezer, The Shins & Silversun Pickups at Golden 1 Center

Indie Rock Roadtrip

Three iconic acts are set to embark on the Indie Rock Roadtrip and take over Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026. The Weezer, The Shins and Silversun Pickups show will bring three decades of alternative rock to the like-minded crowds of indie rock fans of all ages. The show will bring every generation of fans to enjoy a multitude of all-time hit songs from each of the three iconic acts.

Weezer

Weezer will bring their trademark power pop sound to the Golden 1 Center performing songs from their very first shows that date back to the 90s as well as their most recent release SZNZ: Winter. They will most likely perform well-known songs like “Buddy Holly,” “Say It Ain’t So,” and “Island in the Sun.” The band is known for their unique sound and have been rewarded for it. They received a Grammy Award and are a multi-platinum artist. The energy of lead singer and guitarist Rivers Cuomo can be felt from the very beginning of the show when he starts strumming the first guitar of the night. The crowd will take a journey through decades of alternative music. It is sure to be a fun night for fans of the band and of the genre.

The Shins

The Shins are known for creating incredible indie-pop music. As a band, The Shins feature lead singer James Mercer. Mr. Mercer is responsible for writing all of the band’s songs. Due to his unique style of writing, the band has developed a distinct sound that resonates with fans everywhere. They have a strong, diverse fan base that loves to follow the band to their concerts and venues where they perform. Many of their most popular songs include “New Slang,” “Simple Song,” and “Phantom Limb.” Their most recent album, “The Worm’s Heart,” is unique in that it reworks several of the band’s most famous songs. The Shins’ take on these songs is a new twist and interesting take on familiar songs that fans know so well.

Silversun Pickups

Last but certainly not least, Silversun Pickups bring their unique sound to the mix. Combining Indie rock with the Shoegaze sound of bands of the past, the band has received tons of great reviews in regards to their new sound and how it is different from past work. With songs such as “Lazy Eye”, “Panic Switch”, and “The Pit”, fans can expect to hear a wide range of songs, as well as material from their newest album “Physical Thrills” which is comprised of even more complex guitar work and other intricacies that fans of the band have come to love.
