Snipe Hunt Tour 2026

Tyler Childers is an American Appalachian Americana singer-songwriter from Lawrence County, Kentucky - a true country boy to the heart folks if you weren’t in the know. And over the last decade, he’s become one of the most important voices in modern roots music and a name we’ve all come to know and love. Raised on the sounds of bluegrass, old-time fiddle tunes, gospel hymns, and classic country storytelling, Childers didn’t come up chasing radio hits or industry trends or the industry baby way like many of us know. Instead, he built his career the classic way : song by song, show by show, telling stories that felt lived-in, honest, and deeply human. What started in small bars and listening rooms across Appalachia has since grown into sold-out theaters, arenas, and festival headline slots across the country. And now - he’ll be here right for us at the Golden 1 Center on Wednesday September 30th for his newest Snipe Hunt Tour, a treat for me, you and all our country cousins in the city.

After releasing his debut album Bottles and Bibles independently in 2011, Childers spent years grinding it out like we mentioned above. AKA touring endlessly, getting his core group of fans, and leveling up on the songwriting tip, too. That dedication paid off in a massive way when he came out with Purgatory in 2017. And that album was his official turning point critics would say, earning him critical acclaim and cult-classic status almost immediately. Songs like “Feathered Indians,” “Whitehouse Road,” and “Lady May”resonated far beyond Kentucky, introducing audiences everywhere to Childers’ raw lyricism and unmistakable voice. From there, the rise was undeniable. He continued that momentum with Country Squire in 2019, followed by the bold and uncompromising Long Violent History in 2020 - a project that showcased his roots as a fiddle player and storyteller, while also making a powerful cultural statement. In recent years, albums like Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven? and Rustin’ in the Rain have shown that Tyler is totally in his bag and okay with getting a little experimental - blending Americana, country, bluegrass, gospel, and soul into something entirely his own. Along the way, he’s earned GRAMMY recognition, a fiercely loyal fanbase, and a reputation for being an amazing live performer, which is EXACTLY why you need to see him live when he comes to town.

So yeah folks - if you’ve ever wanted to see one of the most authentic, powerful live acts touring today, this is your moment. Come ready to sing, sway, and feel every word. We’ll see you real soon - right here in the Golden 1!
