Ghost are the world’s most notorious rock band right now. Their seemingly Satanic Catholic Church-inspired visuals and increasingly complex lore make them one of the most visual bands out there right now. But their sound is nothing to down play either. Ever since they released their debut album, Opus Eponymous in 2010, the world of rock n roll has never known peace. But whether you love their kitschy aesthetic and metalesque music or not, you can’t deny they’ve had a rather impressive run so far. They’ve been nominated for four Grammy Awards as of 2025, and welcomed home their first win at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards where their song Phantom of the Opera took home the award for Best Metal Performance.
Fast forward a few years, and Ghost is still on top of the world. They just released their newest record, Skeleta, this past spring, and they're hitting the road to celebrate. The band will be leaving their home of Sweden to perform for over a dozen crowds across North America starting this January. Then, they’ll supposedly be making their way around the rest of the globe, hence the “World Tour” additive. Perhaps the coolest thing about Ghost’s live performances are the requirements for getting into the venues in the first place. All attendees at any Ghost concert are required to put their phone in a small pouch that is then locked by the venue staff and can only be unlocked after the show. While you keep your phone pouch on hand at all times and are able to request access to it outside the performance area, this process allows the band to have a completely phoneless event where fans are 100% in the moment.
